Sync fails w/ multiple interfaces
Hello,
During the install & setup of MD on my iPad, I discovered that using the mobile app is problematic for host machines that have more than one network interface. It appears that when MD on the host machine starts up, it will select the network interface based on some designation. I am not completely sure how it selects the interface to use but I do know that given the choice of Ethernet vs. Wireless, it selects the former. This then requires that I disable the Ethernet interface in order for MD mobile to work - this is problematic.
Two better options are:
1) Change the syncing to not be P2P and instead use iCloud or
Dropbox (creating seperate FR for this one).
2) If deciding to stick w/ P2P syncing, then have the host app
listen for mobile app connections on all available network
interfaces.
Please let me know your thoughts - Thanks.

Hi Cyberzeus,
Thanks for your suggestions. We are currently beta testing new version of the iOS app that will include both improvements to WiFi syncing and the option to sync using Dropbox. Hopefully, this will resolve a number of the issues folks have had with syncing. The beta is very close to wrapping up, and we hope to release the new app shortly. We'll let you know when it's available.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thanks for your interest in Moneydance!

On June 7 we submitted the iOS app to Apple to approval, so we'll definitely post on our blog, Twitter, and Facebook as soon as it's available. We're not sure how long the approval queue is (Apple is a bit opaque about it) but we're hoping soon! We'll also post on this thread when the app is available.

Some bad news: Apple did not approve our latest update to the iPhone/iPad/iPod Moneydance app. This was due to the Dropbox authorization page linking to an external signup form.
The good news: we've re-submitted the app using a newer version of the Dropbox SDK that resolves the issue while also making the Dropbox authorization a bit easier. This submission also fixes a few small bugs that were discovered in the past week.
We're all very sorry for the additional delay in getting the app update. I expect it will be another 5 working days which is Apple's current advertised time to review app updates.
