I just loaded the latest version of money dance to my mac and now it won't sync with my md iPad application. It asks me for a network key and I don't know what that is or where to find it.

Hi,
I'm having a similar problem to a lot of people on this forum. I've just managed to get my iPhone 4 syncing again, but have no idea how - I usually have to close and reopen both the programme on my PC (Windows 7) and the app on my iPhone (iOS 5.0.1). I tried adding my iPad, too; MD detects it and asks me for the key, but it doesn't think the key is valid (I triple-checked it).
Any thoughts?!

PS it would be really nice to have a 'sync now' button on the iPhone/iPad app, which reported back if for some reason this wasn't possible. Any chance of that?

Hi Chris,
What is the name of your iPad? If it has any special characters in it (like an apostrophe), try renaming it so that it only has numbers and letters, and then entering your key again.

Thanks for this suggestion. Would that affect iPads but not iPhones? I ask because my iPhone is called, imaginatively, "Christopher's iPhone", and my iPad is called, even more imaginatively, "Christopher's iPad" - yet only the iPhone works!

Hi Chris,
Actually, I'm surprised your iPhone works, as I believed that it affects both platforms. Neither of them should work, but that's clearly not the case. Does renaming fix the problem on your iPad?
