Can I synch Moneydance between my and my wife's laptops?
Can I use the same purchased software for both, or do I have to purchase the software twice?

    Hello,

A purchase of a Moneydance license key entitles you to install Moneydance on as many computers you have in your household.

To share data between two desktop programs, you will need to share your data file between the computers. This can be done by using a local network, or an online file syncing service such as Dropbox.

To do this, you will need to first locate your data file (http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/frequently-asked-questions-2/moneyd...) and move the yourfilename.moneydance data folder to a shared file location by following the instructions at http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/moneydance-2012/how-to-move-your-da...

After that, you can use the "open other" option from the welcome screen or from File->Open->Open Other from the menu bar to select your data file.

With this method, it is important that you not have the program open on both computers at once, as you could accidentally overwrite the changes one computer was making over the other at the same time.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
