CATEGORY Report for Home Inventory

I would like to use my past purchase history as the starting point for an Home Inventory. However, it does not appear that I am able to create a detailed transaction report based on my Categories rather than my Accounts. Any tips on how to create a Category-based detailed report?

    I'm a fellow user.

    Have you tried the Income and Expense detailed report?

    This is basically a category report where you can select what categories to include.

    Hello dwg,

    Thanks for your response.

    While the I/E Detailed report lists "categories" as an option, the Available Items listed are my Accounts (Bank/ Credit Card, etc). Could this be a bug?

    Hi Kevin,

    When viewing the report settings, are you seeing 'All Income' and 'All Expense' at the bottom of the settings window?
    If so, choose the button on the right, 'Show: by Individual'. This will display each of your individual categories, and you can choose which to include/exclude before generating the report.
