Adjustments to Entries

I just started the trial with moneydance. I am a bookkeeper in my professional life so I'm wondering if I can do a few adjustments to transactions in moneydance, the way you would with say a journal entry. For example, if you have a $1000 mortgage payment, can you allocate a certain amount of the payment to principal and some to interest? I downloaded my bank transactions so I would want to make an adjustment to that recorded transaction. Also wondering if I could do the same for groceries. Say there's a Costco item downloaded from bank. Can I allocated a portion to groceries and a portion to diapers?

I am not support staff, just a user.

Double click on the category of the subject transaction and in the dropdown click on Split.
