category reports

How do i see the individual transactions that comprise the total in each catergory when I am looking in the category list? I am used to this function in Quicken. It creates a report for each category that lists the transactions that are assigned to the category

    Hi Peggy,

    Try the 'Income and Expenses, Detailed' report.
    Post back if you need specific instructions on how to generate it.

    Me too.
    I liked that feature in Quicken (Windows)...PLUS...
    in Quicken I think in a transaction--a double-cick on PAYEE or the CATEGORY generated a respective list of those transactions.....
    Not sure but seems a report format appeared to enter criteria for report, a date range, subtotal by.., etc..---sure was a lot easier to get quick reports of some transactions vs MD formaf for same type of report.

    Maybe MD could be enhanced to include these features?
