MD not remembering direct connect passwords

I'v e been using MD for a couple of years now with no problem using direct connect with several banks. I have had my file set to encrypted all along. Recently I added two new checking accounts. Everything is fine except I am being asked for the direct connect password each time MD downloads data. Why is this? If I have my prefs set to encrypt shouldnt MD be storing the passwords in the data file?

Can you help?
