buggy transaction filter report edit?
There are two cleared check boxes in the window for edit transaction filter report. With combine criteria And selected, and all four check boxes checked on the cleared line ( i.e. cleared, cleared, reconciling, and uncleared) only the uncleared are reported. Shouldn't such a report be empty, as no single transaction can have more than one cleared status at the same time? If so, it seems to be a strange default, to have cleared, cleared, reconciling, and uncleared all checked with combined criteria And. Thank you.

The left-most checkbox on the line means "filter on this criteria" - cleared status. The next box means include cleared transactions, the next means include reconciling, and the last means included uncleared. There aren't two checkboxes for "cleared".
The topmost line "Combine criteria: And, Or" applies to the separate lines of the form, not to elements within the line. So And/Or does not apply to the different cleared status. (Which would make no sense, since a transaction can only have one cleared status.)
I'm not saying it all works correctly or will win any user interface design awards, but it does make sense when you look at it this way.

Thank you - good to know what the program should be doing. With the leftmost checked, cleared unchecked, and the other two checked -- it outputs the cleared (not expected) and uncleared. I did not have reconciling data to check with.
Based on your explanation it seems to have at least one bug.

There seems to possibly be some bug associated with the date range as follows. Filtering on uncleared works for quarter to date, but also reports the cleared transactions when just changing the date to all dates.
