Hello folks,

Any idea when the reco issue described in the following thread is going to get fixed? This is a pretty basic function that is kind of a pain to have to deal with - I would think this almost warrants a special build to resolve.

Also, why was the previous bug file closed as resolved when it's still not fixed? Am I missing something?

    Hi cyberzeus,
If my memory serves me correctly, this issue was resolved in one of the more recent daily builds.
The current daily is build 792 which also re-enables the 'Automatically Merge Downloaded Transactions' option in Preferences.

You can get the daily build here if you want to try it out:

    Thx Kevin,

I thought that build 785 was the latest I could run without requiring a paid upgrade - is this not true?

    Hi cyberzues,
You should be able to upgrade your current trial version to build 792 without effecting the 100 txn limit on manually entered txns.
Hang onto your installation file for 785 just incase.

    Hi Kevin,

Totally understood - I know that I can run the actual post-785 code as a demo but I would hope that the Moneydance developers would regress any bugfixes back to the last supported version of all supported code chains. The way I understand the current code trains, they have 2010 and 2011 - the latest for the former is build 785 so aren't all bugfixes committed to both trains to maintain consistency?

Requiring users to pay an upgrade for a bugfix resolving something broken that used to work is a very poor business model...

    Hy cyberzeus,
From what I understand, the reconciliation window issue was something that worked properly in MD 2010 but cropped back up in MD 2011.
The latest stable build of MD 2011 is build 790.

Again the latest daily is build 792

hmmm - not sure...it might be helpful to know what the last supported 2010 build is. the last known good I had with this issue was build 743 which is branded as 2010r2. Is 785 not still part of the 2010 train? I am able to run it without a license upgrade...

    Hi cyberzeus,
MD 2010r3 Build 757 was the final incarnation of MD 2010:
    http://moneydance.com/download/2010/
785 should be an MD 2011 build. Look under Help > About Moneydance or Help > Console Window to make sure.

Ahhh - ok - thx for the clarification. I guess they didn't get the license checker in the first few 2011 builds then...appreciate the help...

    Hi cyberzeus,
You're correct. I think build 788 was the first build to require a valid MD 2010 or MD 2011 license key. Until then the daily builds would work even with a MD 2008 key.

ok - so I pulled the trigger on 2011 - it was discounted so the price was right. Also, the issue still exists on build 791 but IS FIXED on 792...

thanks again Kevin - really appreciate your help...
