Missing aspects of tags implementation
Hi folks,
Here's a list of issues needed to complete what was started with the implementation of tags. I'm calling these 'bugs' because I see them as basic to tag functionality, not as enhancements to an existing feature:
General:
• tags need to be everywhere categories are
Specific:
• provide full tag-based filtering in reports/graphs
• include tags in investment account registers, as with bank & credit
• tags should appear on other side of a transaction when entered
• add tags to batch change menu in registers
• tag field should be selected when tabbing through a transaction
• add tag filtering to 'Find' dialog
• Quicken classes not recognized as tags in QIF import (NB: this was the case when I migrated 3 years ago; not sure about now)
• include tags in budgets

I don't want to say never, as there is nothing incompatible with the way quicken does classes and Moneydance's design around tags. In fact it would even be nice to have such a thing. But we don't have any plans in the foreseeable future to implement this. If you have any questions about moving your data to another application please let us know. Sorry we couldn't meet your expectations.
