I've noticed a curious bug when first opening MD. The Extensions menu sometimes is entirely grayed out. The only way I've found to "fix" it is to open up preferences, click OK and then the Extensions menu is not grayed out anymore.

It happens some of the time, not regular occurrence.

    Hi Rob

I have not experienced this particular problem. Would you mind answering a couple of questions to better understand the problem.

What operating system are your using? What version of Moneydance are you using? What version and distribution of java are you using? By grayed out do you mean the options are disabled or are they completely missing? Are you noticing this graying out of options anywhere else? If you can think of anything else that might help me reproduce this I would be very grateful.

Thanks for reporting this issue. Sincerely Ben Spencer

    Sure!

OS: Mac OS X 10.5.6, build 9G55 Moneydance 2008r3 (629) Java Version: 1.6.0_07 (according to MD) from my Java Preferences, I have Java SE 6, J2SE 5.0, and J2SE 1.4.2 I have the SE 6 as my preferred version

No, I'm not noticing this kind of behavior anywhere else, but then the
only other Java app I run is a remote control app for my Harmony Remote.

By "grayed out", the options are not missing, but simply unavailable.
As in, I can't click on any of them.

Sorry, I can't think of any other ways in which the situation can be
reproduced. Even on my system, it's not a guaranteed situation. I'd
say it happens maybe a quarter of the time. But I will pay more
    attention next time.

    Thanks again!

This probably won't help you, but here's a screenshot of the problem,
    happened last night again:

Hi Rob thanks for the screen shot. Indeed it does not help me reproduce the problem.

I spoke with the developer of Moneydance and they recalled this problem showing up on older versions of OSX. But not on 10.5.6 I'm going to leave this open as an unresolved bug. Thanks for your assistance in bringing it to our attention.

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
