Hello,
I have been trying out the different styles of the budget tool, old and new. What is the simplest way to budget my mortgage payment? I would like to have one budget category for mortgage amount and know that all my items such as taxes, insurance, pmi are all incorporated into the payment budget. Now it is easy to set up this category but where my issue is in that I have my mortgage payment setup with a loan account, and my escrow as an asset account. So when my mortgage payment comes out of my checking it is split between transfers to the proper accounts and I do not get a total mortgage payment category unless I budget each individually. and even then not sure if it would actually register as a budget amount since it is a transfer. Thank you for your help.

Craig, this is an issue with Moneydance Budgeting that all of us are complaining about. For some odd reason, they don't have Moneydance coded to pickup any payments or transfers to other accounts. The Budgeting feature will not pick up any transferred amounts as you would have from your checking account to a loan payment or asset. Bummer, right ?
But, there are some work around's. Checkout the methods on this post.
